The FIRESTORM construction is the lightest, most efficient, most protective down filled insulation Mountain Equipment have specifically developed for Alpinists needing the very lightest warmth in real-world conditions. This construction consists of hybrid baffling, combining conventional stitched through and pleated baffle construction to maximise insulation and down control where it is most required, while at the same time maximising the user’s freedom to climb. The results are a 20% lighter jacket, compared with a conventionally constructed down jacket, up to 20% more air is trapped decreasing thermal conductivity and more protection against heat loss due to wind and water ingress.

The front two-way TKK moulded centre front zip is backed by a offset rear baffle for increased weather protection and elasticated cuffs and dual tether hem drawcords provides a comfortable and close fit. Two zippered hand warmer and chest pockets keep belongings safe, while two large inner drop pockets keep belongings close.
